2023 All-BIG EAST Team – Outdoor Track & Field
NEW YORK – Following performances at the 2023 BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championships presented by JEEP, 147 student athletes across nine schools were named to the All-BIG EAST Team. The all-conference teams are comprised of BIG EAST competitors who placed in the top-three in any individual or relay event at the championships, with this season’s meet being held May 11-13 at Villanova Stadium on the campus of Villanova University.
On the list of 74 men and 73 women, 32 (16 men, 16 women) earned all-conference recognition in multiple events. There are six athletes that each earned All-BIG EAST honors in three events, including Connecticut’s Kasey Savage (high jump, long jump, triple jump), DePaul’s Jetta Mays (100m, 200m, 4x100m relay), DPU’s Isabella Hilditch (200m, 400m, 4x400m relay), DPU’s Darius Brown (110m hurdles, 400m hurdles, 4x400m relay), DPU’s Michael Stanley (200m, 400m, 4x400m relay) and St. John’s Tatyana McKenzie (200m, 400m, 4x400m relay).
For the second consecutive season, UConn claimed both team titles and led with a total of 37 All-BIG EAST honorees, including 22 on the men’s side and 15 on the women’s side. Both runners-up finished with the second-most all-conference nods with St. John’s earning 12 on the women’s side, while DePaul claimed 15 on the men’s side.
