BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Jessica Garziano, St. John’s, Gr., M
Garziano continued her stellar season with a dominant week, recording a conference-best six points over two games for St. John’s. Beginning with a 2-2 draw to Yale on Thursday, Garziano tallied an assist to begin the scoring for the Johnnies, tying the all-time program record for most career assists. She then followed it up with two goals and a record-breaking assist in the Red Storm’s 4-3 comeback win over Harvard on Sunday. Garziano netted back-to-back goals to bring the Johnnies back into the game, and then assisted on the game-winner for the club’s fifth win on the year. The graduate midfielder now sits alone as the St. John's women's soccer top distributor with 28 over her career. Her five points in Sunday’s contest were the most by a Red Storm player this season, and she now leads the BIG EAST in both total points (16) and assists (6) thanks to her performances.
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Makayla Stadler, Villanova, Gr., F/D
Stadler held down a Villanova backline that held opponents to two goals on seven shots on goal over two games this week. The graduate also added onto her week with a game-tying header in the 28
th minute in Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Cornell. Her score was her fourth goal on the season, tied for most on the team. The Wildcats remain the only unbeaten conference team at 3-0-5, and Stadler helped to keep opponents in check in Nova’s consecutive 1-1 draws against Penn and Cornell.
BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Keelan Terrell, Creighton, Gr., GK
Terell was integral in Creighton’s hard-fought win over South Dakota St. on Sunday, as the graduate keeper earned a solo clean sheet in the Bluejay’s 1-0 victory. Terell recorded two saves in the contest for her third shutout of the season as Creighton earned their second win of the year in a 1-0 week. She has played in all 720 minutes of Creighton’s eight games thus far, registering 36 total saves, good for second-best in the conference. Her 4.50 saves per game also places her second in the BIG EAST.
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Norah Jacomen, Butler, Fr., F
For the second straight week the breakout forward earns Freshman of the Week honors following a brace in Butler’s 4-0 win over Ball State on Thursday. Jacomen’s two goals in the match included the game-winner in just the fifth minute, along with an insurance strike in the 61
st minute. The freshman has been a sensation so far this year, as her two goals added to her seven total on the season, tied for the most in the BIG EAST. She has now netted four goals over her last three games, and leads the Bulldogs in goals, points, shots, and shots on goal. Her offense has helped drive Butler to back-to-back victories as they now stand at 4-4-1 heading into conference play.

Lauryn Tran, St. John’s, Jr., M – scored a career-high two goals including the game-winner in the 62nd minute of a 4-3 comeback victory over Harvard; now tied for fourth in the conference with ten total points (3g, 4a) on the season
Alexei Whittaker, Butler, Jr., F – recorded a brace in
Butler’s 4-0 win over Ball State on Thursday, scoring on both of her shots; posted her first career two-goal game
Addie Marshall, Butler, R-Fr., GK – posted a solo clean sheet in her first career collegiate appearance, amassing three saves in Butler’s 4-0 win over Ball State
Elena Milam, DePaul, Gr., GK – the reigning Goalkeeper of the Week recorded a shutout in DePaul’s lone game this week, totaling four saves in the Blue Demons’ 1-0 win over NIU on Thursday; she currently leads the BIG EAST in saves with 39 and saves per game with 5.57
Taylor Schad, Marquette, Fr., F – netted her first-career goal in Marquette’s 2-1 victory over Western Michigan on Thursday, also drawing the foul that led to the game-winning PK in the 89th minute; dished out an assist on the Golden Eagles’ lone goal in 1-1 tie against St. Thomas on Sunday, totaling three points on the week
