BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Ava Martin, Creighton, So., OH
Martin collects her second Offensive Player of the Week nod after averaging 4.50 kills, 1.75 digs, 0.25 aces and 0.25 blocks per set as Creighton secured its fourth tournament title of the fall. The Diet Coke Classic All-Tournament MVP began her week with 14 kills, three digs and a career-high two aces on a season-high .542 hitting against defending Big South champion High Point. In Saturday’s 3-2 victory over No. 9 Minnesota, the reigning BIG EAST Freshman of the Year tied her career-best with 22 kills and matched her season-high with 11 digs. Four of Martin’s kills came in the deciding final set, including three in the first 10 points as the Bluejays surged to a 9-1 lead.
 
 BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Karis Park, Georgetown, Jr., L
Park anchored Georgetown’s defense to a 3-0 week, averaging 4.55 digs per set as the Hoyas held opponents to 0.185 hitting.  The junior registered 19 and 10 digs against Penn (W, 3-0) and NJIT (W, 3-0), respectively, before exploding for a season-high 21 digs against Delaware State (W, 3-2). Park’s 19, 10, and 21 digs were all match-highs, totaling 50 digs on the week.

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Meghan Scholz, DePaul, Fr., MB
Scholz repeats as BIG EAST freshman of the week after once again leading the conference in total blocks (17) and blocks per set (1.70). The freshman put up six blocks against both Milwaukee (L, 0-3) and Loyola Chicago (W, 3-0), as well as five versus UIC (W, 3-1). Additionally, Scholz contributed 16 kills and a pair of service aces. In addition to leading the BIG EAST, the middle blocker ranks second among all Division I freshman, and 21st overall, with 1.40 blocks per set.
 
Honor Roll
Kiana Schmitt, Creighton, Sr., MB
Schmitt averaged 2.88 kills and a team-best 1.00 blocks per set on .422 hitting this week, earning a spot on the Diet Coke Classic All-Tournament Team after helping Creighton to a pair of victories over No. 8 Minnesota (3-2) and defending Big South champion High Point (3-0).
Aubrey Hamilton, Marquette, Sr., OH
Hamilton led the Golden Eagles with 58 kills in a 2-2 week that included matches against No. 1 Wisconsin (L, 1-3), No. 7 Oregon (L, 0-3), Air Force (W, 3-0) and Milwaukee (W, 3-1). On the week, she ranked third among all BIG EAST competitors in kills per set (4.14).
Abby Harrell, Villanova, Fr., OH
Harrell led the Wildcats with 42 kills on .243 hitting this week. The freshman added 31 digs, four blocks, and two service aces across a 2-1 week.
Carrigan O’Reilly, Xavier, Gr., S/RS
O’Reilly led the BIG EAST this week with 76 assists (10.86 assists/set), setting Xavier to a 2-0 week. In victories over Northern Kentucky (3-1) and Kennesaw State (3-0), the grad student added 13 digs, eight kills, and three blocks.
Sarah Stevens, Xavier, R.S. Jr., MB
Stevens led the league with a .555 hitting percentage this week, registering 20 kills and seven blocks across a pair of wins. The redshirt juniors’ ten kills against both Northern Kentucky and Kennesaw State represented career-bests.
