Omaha, Neb. -- Returning to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2019, Creighton Baseball earned the number three seed in the Fayetteville Regional, hosted by Arkansas. Creighton (41-14) will face Kansas (43-15) in the first round of the tournament on Friday, May 30 at 7:00 p.m..
The host Arkansas Razorbacks (43-13) will face the fourth-seeded North Dakota State Bison (20-32) in the other opening contest in Fayetteville. Game times and broadcast coverage will be announced later today.

Creighton last faced Kansas in the 2023 season and hold 25-17 series edge on the Jayhawks.
Pairings were announced on Monday morning in a nationally-televised broadcast on ESPN2, as the Bluejay team was joined by its supporters at DJ's Dugout just blocks outside of Charles Schwab Field Omaha, home of the College World Series.
The winners bracket game will then be on Saturday, May 31, Regional round action is double-elimination, with more games scheduled for Saturday, Sunday and potentially Monday. Teams that advance out of the Regional round will play in the Super Regionals from June 6-9, with dates/times/sites being announced on June 3rd. The College World Series returns to Omaha from June 13-23.
This is Creighton's 12th NCAA Tournament appearance in school history, and sixth trip in 22 seasons for the Bluejays under Servais after also earning bids in 2005, 2007, 2011, 2012 and 2019. The Bluejays earned the BIG EAST's automatic bid after going 3-0 last weekend at the BIG EAST Championships in Mason, Ohio. Creighton was also the BIG EAST regular-season champion, going 17-4 in league play. Creighton is 18-22 all-time in 11 previous NCAA Tournament appearances, including a trip to the 1991 College World Series.
Creighton clinched a spot in the NCAA Tournament with a 7-4 win in the BIG EAST Championship title game vs. Connecticut on Saturday night in Mason, Ohio. It was Creighton's second BIG EAST Baseball Tournament title. The Bluejays, who won their fifth BIG EAST regular-season title, feature the BIG EAST Pitcher of the Year Dominic Cancellieri (2-1, 1.94 ERA, 54 K in 51.0 IP) and BIG EAST Freshman of the Year Wilson Magers (6-2, 3.10 ERA, 51 SO in 69.2 IP). Ed Servais leads the BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year in his final season at the helm.
Sophomore catcher Connor Capece went 7-for-12 to hit .583 with five RBI and two runs scored in the BIG EAST Championship to earn the Jack Kaiser Most Outstanding Player award. He was joined on the All-Tournament Team by outfielders Nolan Sailors and Tate Gillen, infielder Matt Scherrman as well as closer Garrett Langrell.
The Bluejays enter the NCAA Tournament on an seven-game winning streak and have posted victories in 13 of their last 14 games.
