BIG EAST Men’s Track Athlete of the Week
Dan Watcke, Villanova, Jr.
Watcke finished first in the men’s 800 meters with a time of 1:50.95 at the Penn Select, leading the BIG EAST and ranking 25th nationally. The junior also claimed first place in the 1000 meters at the Quaker Invitational with a time of 2:20.30, tied for the second-fastest indoor mark in Villanova history.
BIG EAST Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Olivia Allen, Villanova, Jr.
Allen anchored the 4x400 meter relay with a 53.90 split at the Quaker Invitational, ranking among Villanova’s top 20 relay splits. The junior also posted the fastest 500-meter time in the NCAA this season with a 1:11.02, a mark that ranks sixth in the world in 2026 and stands as the second-fastest in program history.
BIG EAST Men’s Field Athlete of the Week
Joshua Hill, DePaul, Fr.
Hill won the long jump at the NCC Heenan Invitational with a mark of 7.02 meters in just his second collegiate competition. The freshman’s performance ranks second in the BIG EAST this season.
BIG EAST Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
Maria Deaviz, Villanova, Grad.
Deaviz set a Villanova school record in the shot put with a mark of 16.15 meters in her program debut at the Penn Select, becoming the first athlete in school history to surpass 16 meters in the event. The graduate student leads the BIG EAST and ranks 20th nationally this season.
Notable Performances
- Creighton’s Jake Ziebarth won the 1,000 meters at The Graduate Classic in 2:26.43, breaking his own school record by more than two seconds.
- DePaul’s Eveline Reno won the women’s triple jump at the Badgers Midwest Invite with a mark of 12.40 meters, ranking second in the BIG EAST this season.
- Georgetown’s Nicholas Givan, Tinoda Matsatsa, Joshua Davenport, and Jaden Marchan won the men’s 4x400 relay at the Nittany Lion Challenge with a time of 3:10.25, the third-fastest in Georgetown history and the fastest in the BIG EAST this season.
- Marquette’s Ally Broaddus won the weight throw at the John Tierney Classic with a personal-record mark of 17.57 meter, a performance that ranks ninth all-time in program history.
- Marquette’s Bobby King won the 200 meters at the NYC Gotham Cup in 21.94, a personal record that moved him to seventh all-time in program history, and also set a PR in the 60 meters (7.05).
- Providence’s Maeve O’Neill won the 1,000 meters at the Harvard Beantown Challenge in 2:41.07, setting a new Providence program indoor record and breaking the previous seven-year mark of 2:42.13.
