Last season, Liberty claimed the 2025 BIG EAST championship title for the third time in five seasons, defeating UConn in a 2-1 overtime victory. Liberty forward Lou Combrinck was named the BIG EAST Championship Most Outstanding Player, totaling three points over the weekend with an assist in the semifinals and the overtime game-winner in the title match.
Located at Temple University’s Temple Sports Complex in Philadelphia, Howarth Field opened in September 2016 as the home of Temple field hockey and women’s lacrosse. Named in recognition of a generous gift from former Temple field hockey student-athlete Cherifa Howarth and her husband, Greg, the facility features a state-of-the-art playing surface with a watering system, bleacher seating for 500 spectators, a digital scoreboard, and a press box.
Temple will be serving as the host site for the championship for the third time in program history and second since 2023.
