NEW YORK – On the final night of the BIG EAST men's soccer regular season, all 12 teams took to the pitch Friday evening, with seven teams vying for the final three spots in the four-team championship field.
Following the conclusion of the six matches, the bracket for the 2026 BIG EAST Men's Soccer Championship Presented by JEEP was finalized.
Entering the evening having already clinched the outright East Division title and No. 1 overall seed, top-ranked Georgetown (14-1-2, 7-0-1 BE) completed an unbeaten conference regular season with a 2-2 road draw against UConn. The Huskies converted a penalty kick to level the match, denying the Hoyas a perfect conference record. Georgetown finished league play with 22 points, recording seven wins and one draw in eight conference contests.
In the Midwest Division, No. 10 Creighton (12-1-5, 4-1-3 BE) and No. 5 Akron (11-1-4, 4-1-3 BE) shared the division title after both teams earned victories Friday evening. The Bluejays secured a 2-1 home victory over DePaul, while the Zips defeated Marquette, 2-0, on the road. Both teams finished with 15 points in conference play, with Creighton earning the No. 2 seed via the league's tiebreaking procedures. Akron, which captured its third consecutive Midwest Division crown, earned the No. 3 seed.
Rounding out the championship field, Seton Hall (7-4-6, 4-2-2 BE) secured the No. 4 seed following a 3-0 home victory over Villanova. The Pirates finished conference play with 14 points, earning a return trip to the BIG EAST Championship after missing last year's four-team field.
Despite earning a point against Georgetown, UConn finished conference play with 13 points, one shy of Seton Hall for the final championship berth.
Elsewhere on the final night of regular-season competition, Xavier earned a 3-1 road victory over Butler, while Providence defeated St. John's, 3-2.
Georgetown, Creighton, Akron and Seton Hall will head to Maryland SportsPlex in Boyds, Md., for semifinal action Thursday, Nov. 12.
The Midwest Division co-champions will open the championship at 5 p.m. ET, when No. 2 seed Creighton faces No. 3 seed Akron. The Bluejays and Zips also met in last year's regular-season finale, when Akron earned a 1-0 road victory to claim the outright division title.
At 7:30 p.m. ET, No. 1 seed Georgetown will face No. 4 seed Seton Hall. Both semifinal matches will stream live on ESPN+.
Thursday's winners will advance to the championship match Sunday, Nov. 15, at 2 p.m. ET, airing nationally on ESPNU. Georgetown enters the championship seeking its third consecutive tournament title, having defeated UConn, 3-1, in last year's final to capture its seventh BIG EAST Championship crown. The champion will earn the BIG EAST's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
General admission tickets are available for $16 for adults and $11 for children ages 3-17. Group tickets are available for $9 per person for groups of 10 or more. Semifinal tickets provide admission to both matches, while championship tickets are sold separately.
