Denver, Marquette, Villanova Take BIG EAST Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Awards

BIG EAST Attacker of the Week
Olivia Ripple, Denver, Jr., M
Ripple totaled six points on four goals and two assists in Denver’s 15-4 win over UConn, adding one ground ball, two caused turnovers, and two draw controls. She ranks fifth nationally averaging 4.00 goals per game.

BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week
Rose Christie, Villanova, Jr., M
Christie recorded six goals, three draw controls, two assists, two ground balls, and a caused turnover in a 1–1 week for the Wildcats. She tallied two hat tricks on the week with one in a loss to No. 12 Stony Brook and another in a conference win over Xavier. She leads the Wildcats with 27 points this season.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Carly Frohnapfel, Denver, Sr., D
Frohnapfel anchored Denver’s defense in a 15-4 conference win over UConn, recording four caused turnovers.

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Dani Serrano, Marquette, Fr., A
Serrano totaled nine points on five goals and four assists across two games, recording one goal and three assists against Georgetown and adding four goals and an assist in a win over UC Davis.

BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Abby Beran, UConn, Jr., D
Beran totaled seven draw controls, seven caused turnovers, and six ground balls in a 0–2 week against nationally ranked No. 14 Colorado and No. 20 Denver. She ranks fourth nationally averaging 3.33 caused turnovers per game.
 
Caroline Keil, Denver, R-So., A
Keil totaled four goals and one assist in Denver’s 15-4 win over UConn.
 
Gracie Driggs, Georgetown, Sr., A
Driggs totaled four goals and an assist in an 11-10 win at Marquette, including two free-position goals and the assist on the game-winning score. She also added two ground balls and three draw controls in the victory.
 
Leah Warehime, Georgetown, Gr., GK
Warehime matched her season high with 12 saves and posted a .545 save percentage to lead Georgetown to an 11–10 win at Marquette.
 
Hanna Bodner, Marquette, Gr., M  
Bodner recorded four goals, an assist, and 16 draw controls across two games, including six draw controls at Georgetown and a career-high 10 against UC Davis, where she also scored four goals.
