NEW YORK – The bracket for the 2026 BIG EAST Women’s Lacrosse Championship presented by JEEP was finalized Saturday afternoon. With a win over Georgetown, Denver secured the top seed in the championship and the regular season title. The four-team field was rounded out with Georgetown, UConn and Marquette.
The Pioneers (13-3, 6-0 BE) finished the regular season with an 11-5 win over the Hoyas (11-5, 5-1 BE) who earned the No. 2 seed. Denver enters the Championship as the top seed for the seventh consecutive year.
UConn (7-9, 3-3 BE) beat Marquette (9-6, 3-3 BE) 12-10, giving the Huskies the opportunity to play in the postseason. With the win, UConn took the No. 3 seed while Marquette finished as the No. 4 seed.
The BIG EAST Championship opens Thursday, April 30 at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium, with No. 1 seed Denver facing No. 4 seed Marquette for a spot in the title game. The game will air on ESPN+ at 6 p.m. ET.
The second semifinal will be played between No. 2 seed Georgetown and No. 3 seed UConn. The game will also air on ESPN+ at 9 p.m. ET.
Semifinal winners will meet on May 2 to decide the conference champion and earn the league’s automatic bid into the 2026 NCAA Championship. The BIG EAST final will air on ESPN+ at 3 p.m. ET.
