2026 BIG EAST Women’s Lacrosse Championship Semifinal Set for Thursday Night

DENVER – The 2026 BIG EAST Women’s Lacrosse Championship Presented by JEEP opens Thursday night at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium with a pair of semifinal games. At 4 p.m. MT, No. 1 seed Denver faces No. 4 seed Marquette. At 7 p.m. MT, No. 2 seed Georgetown takes on No. 3 seed UConn. Both games will be broadcast on ESPN+. The winners of Thursday night’s games will return to Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium on Saturday at 1 p.m. MT in the title game. The BIG EAST champion will earn an automatic bid in the NCAA Tournament. The 2026 NCAA Tournament bracket will be revealed Sunday, May 3 at 9:00 p.m. ET on ESPNU.

Denver and Marquette open the BIG EAST Championship Thursday at 4 p.m. MT. The Pioneers enter as the top seed after claiming the BIG EAST regular-season title, posting a 13-3 overall record and a perfect 6-0 mark in conference play to earn a No. 17 national ranking. Marquette, the No. 4 seed, comes in at 9-6 overall and 3-3 in league action. The teams met earlier this season, with Denver earning a 15-9 victory, and the Pioneers hold an 11-0 advantage in the all-time series.
