This is not the top two teams from each division. Division winners are protected in the top two even if another team has more points.
Points, percentage and tied teams
A win earns 3 points, a draw 1 and a loss 0. The standings tables use points; a normal midseason difference in games played does not activate the unequal-final-matches rule.
If teams finish with uneven numbers of conference matches, the supplied policy uses winning percentage for all teams: (wins + half of draws) / matches played. A 3-1-1 record is .700.
Once every remaining match is picked, the projected seeds below apply the full men's soccer tiebreakers. A tie that reaches NCAA RPI is left for the Conference to announce.

Men's soccer seeding policy supplied by BIG EAST
Division-winner protection is explained above. Conference-office rulings applied by the projected seeds (Oct. 15, 2026):
- Division-title ties use the same steps, with common opponents from the whole conference.
- Two tied teams that did not play skip Step 1. A mini conference skips Step A if any two of its teams did not play.
- The common opponent pool is the opponents every tied team played.
- Results against an opponent rank win, then draw, then loss. Tied opponents are ordered by breaking their own tie first.
- Goal differential is not capped.
- NCAA RPI is announced by the Conference and never applied by this page.
MEN'S SOCCER POLICY — USER-SUPPLIED TEXT Plain-text transcription with formatting normalized. Source numbering and wording retained, including "It two", "gains or losses" and Step F after D. The "Revised 1/16" heading does not by itself establish a year. This is not a new interpretation or corrected policy. 15. Seeding (Revised 1/16) Teams will be seeded based on the ending Conference standings with 3 points awarded for a win, 1 point for a tie and 0 points for a loss. If teams play an uneven number of matches, seeding will be based on winning percentage for all teams. Tie breaking procedures will be adjusted to use winning percentage instead of points earned or combined records where appropriate. NOTE: In the event that a team has qualified for their respective BIG EAST Conference Championship and is unable to participate for any reason, a replacement team will be identified up to 48-hours of the first competition. The replacement would be the next team in the standings using the existing seeding procedures. If a participating team is unable to participate for any reason after the 48-hour deadline, the team will not be replaced, and their opponent will advance in the bracket. Ties for seeding will be broken as follows: It two teams are tied: 1. Regular season head-to-head results. 2. Total points against all common opponents (the common opponent pool). 3. Record against the top team in the common opponent pool continuing down until the tie is broken. 4. Goal differential against all teams in the common opponent pool. 5. Team with highest RPI (based on the latest RPI released by the NCAA). If three or more teams are tied, they are viewed as a "mini conference" when comparing results. A. The team or teams with the most points versus the other teams in the mini conference gains the advantage. If all the teams in the mini conference remain tied, proceed to B. If all of the teams in the mini conference did not play each other, proceed to B. Note: When 1 team gains or losses an advantage in the mini conference, they are seeded accordingly, and the remaining “mini conference” teams revert to initial tie breaker procedure step 1 above (if 2 teams) or step A (if 3 or more teams remain tied), until all teams are seeded in the “mini conference”. B. Total points versus all common opponents (common opponents pool) C. Results against the top team in the common opponent pool continuing down until the tie is broken. D. Goal differential against all teams in the common opponent pool. F. Team with highest RPI (based on the latest RPI released by the NCAA).
