NEW YORK - A trio of Saturday’s BIG EAST contests have been postponed to later dates this season due to expected inclement weather and heavy winds along the East Coast throughout the weekend. The changes were announced Friday by the six affected schools and the conference office.

UConn will now face St. John’s in Queens, N.Y., on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. ET. That same night, Seton Hall will host DePaul in New Jersey at 7 p.m. A new date and time for Butler at Providence will be announced at a later time.

BIG EAST action continues in Ohio on Friday at 7 p.m. ET with a top-25 matchup, as No. 17 Akron hosts No. 5 Georgetown. On Saturday, Xavier welcomes Villanova to Cincinnati at 6:30 p.m., while No. 7 Creighton travels to Milwaukee to take on Marquette at 7 p.m.
