BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Timmy Iscra, DePaul, Sr., M (Northbrook, Ill.)

DePaul senior midfielder Timmy Iscra delivered a pair of crucial goals this week as the Blue Demons went 2-0 against Xavier and Creighton. Iscra scored to equalize Wednesday’s matchup with Xavier on a header off a free kick by Omar Ramadan, this week’s Freshman of the Week. It was Iscra’s first goal since 2017. Iscra struck again in a key moment on Saturday against Creighton, slotting the game-winner goal with less than 15 minutes remaining. Iscra found the back post after Ramadan sent in a corner kick and broke the 1-1 tie.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Luca Dahn, Seton Hall, Jr., D (Kahl, Germany)
Seton Hall junior defender Luca Dahn helped the Pirates to a two-win week as he contributed both offensively and defensively. As a key member of the Seton Hall back line, he helped the Pirates hold opponents Villanova and then-No. 14 Providence to a combined five shots on goal, allowing just one goal to score all week. Dahn assisted on the lone goal in the 1-0 victory over the Wildcats. Against Providence, he scored the first goal in the 2-1 win. He played the full 90 in both matches.
 
BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Gabriel Gjergji, Butler, Jr., GK (Vivenza, Italy)
Butler junior keeper Gabriel Gjergji posted 220 scoreless minutes last week as the Bulldogs play two 0-0 double overtime decisions against Marquette and Xavier. In Wednesday’s match against Marquette Gjergji turned away four shots. Against Xavier, he saved three attempts. Gjergji has posted three consecutive shutouts to open BIG EAST conference play. He has not allowed a goal to score in the last 365 minutes of action.
 
Freshman of the Week
Omar Ramadan, DePaul, M, Fr., (Huntley, Ill.)
DePaul rookie midfielder Omar Ramadan assisted two goals in a 2-0 week for the Blue Demons. Trailing 2-1 at Xavier on Wednesday, Ram adan swung a free kick into the box that found the head of Timmy Iscra who tipped the ball home to tie the game. DPU won in OT, 3-2. On Saturday against Creighton, Ramadan assisted on the game-winning goal in the backend of the second half, sending in the corner kick to Iscra.
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Chris Hegardt, Georgetown, Fr., M
Hargardt scored the game-winning goal for Georgetown against St. John’s on Saturday in a nationally televised game on FS1. He scored in the 30th minute.
Giannis Nikopolidis, Georgetown, Jr., GK
Nikopolidis made three saves to shutout the Red Storm in a 1-0 win for Georgetown on Saturday.
Chandler Hallwood, Marquette, RS-So., GK
Hallwood saved a career-high seven shots in a 0-0 double overtime draw against Butler on Wednesday. Hallwood has had a shutout in four of his last six games.
Tani Oluwaseyi, St. John’s, Jr., F/M
Oluwaseyi scored a goal and assisted the other in just 32 minutes of action in Wednesday’s 2-0 win over then-No. 14 Providence on Wednesday. SJU went 1-1-0 last week.
Andreas Nota, Seton Hall, Sr., GK
Nota went 2-0 last week allowing just one goal to score and tallying a shutout win. He had four saves overall against Villanova and then-No. 14 Providence.
