BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Marlon Tabora, Georgetown, Jr., F (Rockville, Md.)
Tabora led the attack for Georgetown in a pair of league games, as the Hoyas capped the week 1-0-1. The junior forward registered two goals in the pair of outings, including the match-winner against Butler on Wednesday and the tying goal against DePaul on Saturday. Against the Bulldogs, with the score even at 2-2, Tabora received a perfectly timed pass in the box by Trevor Burns in the 73rd minute to give the Hoyas a lead they would not look back on. Three days later, trailing 1-0 early in the second half, Tabora nearly scored on back-to-back offensive possessions, with his first shot raising just above the crossbar. Moments later, Tabora received another opportunity in front of the goal, this time burying it into the back of the net in an eventual 1-1 draw.
