BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Emil Jaaskelainen, Akron, R-Sr., F (Bolton, England)
The nation’s leading scorer continued his recent offensive tear with two goals and an assist in the Zips 4-0 win over DePaul. Jaaskelainen delivered his NCAA-best 15th goal of the season in the 61st minute to give Akron a 3-0 lead before following with a goal at the 65:07 mark. The performance marked his third consecutive and sixth overall multiple-goal performance of the season. Additionally, he added an assist on Victor Gaulmin’s game-winning goal in the 14th minute. On the season, Jaaskelainen is ranked first in total goals (16), total points (39), goals per match (1.14) and points per outing (2.79), second in shots per game (4.79) and game-winning goals (4), fourth in shots on goal per contest (2.29) and 25th in total assists (7).
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Ashton Kamdem, Akron, Jr., D (West Chester, Ohio)
Kamdem spearheaded the defensive efforts in a road victory for the Zips over DePaul. Kamdem and the Zips held the Blue Demons without a shot on goal in the match, two shots in total, both in first half, en route to Akron earning its fifth shutout of the season and seventh consecutive win. The clean sheet was the third for the Zips in five league contests. Kamdem added one shot offensively for the Zips in the tilt.
 
BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Marten Brink, Marquette, Fr., GK (Stukenbrock, Germany)
Brink helped lead the Golden Eagles to a shutout draw against Xavier over the weekend, collecting four saves. In 12 games this season he has 45 saves, five shutouts and a 0.818 save percentage.

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Max Kerkvliet, UConn, R-Fr., GK (Houston, Texas)
Kerkvliet notched two clean sheets against Bryant and Butler, giving him seven shutouts this season, the most of any freshman keeper in the country.  Kerkvliet made two saves in each of UConn’s results this week, giving him 46 this season.
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Victor Gaulmin, Akron, Sr., M (Guipavas, France)
Gaulmin helped spark Saturday’s win with a goal and an assist, while also making an impact on the defensive end with a shutout.
 
Scott Testori, UConn, Jr., D (Stuttgart, Germany)
Testori came up huge in UConn’s win at Butler, scoring the game’s lone goal in the 58th minute. Testori also tallied four shots in UConn’s draw against Bryant.
 
Jackson Castro, Creighton, Sr., M (Plano, Texas)
Castro was integral in helping Creighton claim its third consecutive victory delivering the first goal of the match, then collected an assist by serving in the corner for Creighton’s second goal.

Eric Howard, Georgetown, So., D (Redmond, Wash.)
Howard had the shot which rebounded to result in the first goal for the Hoyas in a 2-0 win over Seton Hall. Part of the backline that had its ninth shutout on the season.
 
Jonny Mennell, Xavier, Jr., GK (Asheville, N.C.)
Helped Xavier post its seventh shutout of the season, playing Marquette to a scoreless draw. Mennell made three saves vs the Golden Eagles in 90 minutes of action. He now has a 0.86 GAA on the year.
