BIG EAST Attacker of the Week
Meg Bireley, Marquette, Jr., A
Earning her third Attacker of the Week honors this season, Bireley dominated on the offensive end across two games for Marquette. The junior attacker netted a career-best eight goals in a battle against Ohio St. on Tuesday, and then added a team-best five goals in a commanding 15-4 victory over Eastern Michigan on Sunday. She also added six ground balls for the week while totaling 25 shots. Bireley has been on an offensive tear thus far this season, leading the BIG EAST with 39 goals across nine games, the fifth-most scores in the nation. She also leads the conference in total points (43) and points per game (4.78), and is third in the nation in both total shots (85), and shots per game (9.44).

BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week
Leigh Steiner, Marquette, Sr., M
Steiner made a big impact across the field for Marquette this week, totaling six goals in two games. The senior made her presence felt on all ends, recording seven draw controls, two caused turnovers, three ground balls, and 25 total shots for the week. In the Golden Eagles’ 15-4 win over Eastern Michigan on Sunday, Steiner tallied career-highs in goals (4), shots (13), and shots on goal (9) to help deliver the victory.

BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Emelia Bohi, Denver, Jr., GK
Bohi played an integral role in a fantastic week for Denver, with the Pioneers holding two ranked opponents to single-digits in a 2-0 week. The junior keeper helped limit No. 14 Stony Brook to a season-low seven goals in an 8-7 victory on Monday, and then held No. 20/23 Stanford to a season-low six scores in a 10-6 win on Sunday. Bohi had 14 saves across the two victories, allowing just 13 goals while adding two ground balls. Her 8.51 GAA leads all qualified BIG EAST goalies and ranks 12th nationally this season.

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Abby Beran, Connecticut, Fr., D
Beran earns her second Freshman of the Week honors following a key performance in UConn’s commanding 17-3 victory against Marist on Saturday. The first-year defender helped stymie any opposing offensive momentum as the Huskies’ three goals allowed were the least by a BIG EAST foe all season. Beran totaled three caused turnovers, three draw controls, and a ground ball in the winning effort.
