BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Stefan Dobrijevic, Akron, Sr., F (Uniontown, Ohio)
In a 3-1 win over Xavier, Dobrijevic contributed to all three goals by the Zips. The senior forward registered a brace and dished out an assist to lead the offense. He opened the scoring with a successful penalty kick in the 13
th minute, before netting what proved to be the game-winning tally in the 33
rd minute. Dobrijevic later garnered his league-leading ninth assist of the season in the 60
th minute. Overall, he has 21 points on the year with six goals and nine assists.
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Agustin Resch, Seton Hall, Sr., D (Arata, Argentina)
Resch anchored the back line once again for the Pirates, leading Seton Hall to a 2-0 week. The senior central defenseman collected an assist and held St. John’s and Lehigh scoreless during his 155 minutes on the pitch. Resch played 65 minutes in a 5-1 win over Lehigh on Tuesday night, leaving the pitch with the Pirates holding a 4-0 advantage. On the road Saturday against the Red Storm, he headed a pass to Mikkel Lejbowicz for the game-winning tally of a 1-0 triumph. Defensively, the SHU backline limited SJU to just one shot on target. It marked Seton Hall’s first win at Belson Stadium since 2020.
BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Kyle Durham, UConn, R-So., GK (Brooklyn, N.Y.)
Durham collected his seventh clean sheet of the season to secure a point against Providence Saturday night. The redshirt sophomore capped the 0-0 draw with six saves to keep the Friars off the board. Durham now has 74 saves and an 8-3-4 mark on the year, including a conference leading 37 saves (6.17 saves per game) in league play.
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Joey Buchanan, Marquette, Fr., D (British Columbia, Canada)
Buchanan contributed on both ends of the pitch, leading the Golden Eagles to a pair of victories. In Tuesday’s 2-0 win over Edgewood, he tallied his third assist of the season. On Saturday against DePaul, the freshman defender collected the second goal of his collegiate career in a 4-1 victory.
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Omar Ramadan, Creighton, Sr., D/M (Algonquin, Ill.)
Ramadan tallied a goal and an assist to lead the offense for Creighton in a 3-1 conference win over Butler.
Mitchell Baker, Georgetown, So., F (Melbourne, Australia)
Baker registered a goal and an assist in Georgetown’s 3-0 victory over Villanova on Saturday.
Charlie Dickerson, Providence, Gr., D (Norwich, England)
Dickerson contributed to Providence’s fourth clean sheet of the season, as the Friars earned a 0-0 draw against UConn.
Mikkel Lejbowicz, Seton Hall, So., F (Farum, Denmark)
Lejbowicz tallied three goals in a 2-0 week for the Pirates. In a 5-1 win over Lehigh, he collected a brace. On Saturday, he tallied the game-winner at St. John’s.
Matias Molina, Seton Hall, Sr., GK (Rosario, Argentina)
Molina registered five saves with zero goals allowed in a perfect 2-0 week for the Pirates.
