Three Teams Share Final #BEsoccer Weekly Honors

BIG EAST Offensive Player and Freshman of the Week
Angelo Ventrella, Providence, Fr., F
Ventrella was the difference maker on the offensive end for the Friars that earned a 2-2 draw with Georgetown in the regular season finale to secure the No. 4 seed in the BIG EAST Championship Presented by Jeep. Ventrella scored a pair of goals to lead the Friars out of a 2-0 hole and garner the pivotal draw.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Daragh Reilly, Akron, Sr., D
Reilly was stellar for the Zips leading defensive efforts in the 1-0 road victory over Creighton en route to earning the BIG EAST Midwest Division title for the second consecutive year. The Zips posted their second consecutive clean sheet in league play and notched Akron’s league-leading 11th shutout of the year. After Akron netted what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 63rd minute, Reilly and the Zips held the Bluejays to only three shots, none on frame.
 
BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Sebastian Cutler DeJesus, Villanova, Jr., GK
Cutler DeJesus posted consecutive clean sheets in a 2-0 week, including a 6-0 win over Holy Family and a 1-0 win over Marquette. Cutler DeJesus made six saves against the Golden Eagles, helping Nova finish with a winning record for the season (7-6-5 overall).

Thomas O’Rourke, Akron, Fr., M
Tallied the game-winning goal against Creighton to secure the No. 2 seed in the tournament and the Midwest crown.
 
Lou Kent Bosc, Butler, R-Jr., D
Bosc scored his first career goal and assisted on Butler’s second tally in the 2-2 draw with St. John’s on Friday night.
 
Zach Zengue, Georgetown, Sr., M
Registered a goal and an assist in a 2-2 draw against Providence.

Guilherme Gomes, St. John’s, Fr., M
Gomes scored both goals in a 2-2 draw against Butler on Friday night.
 
Matthew Klann, Villanova, Fr., M
Klann notched the game-winning goal against Marquette and added an unassisted goal in a non-league win over Holy Family.
