BIG EAST Player of the Week
Adrian Nowak, St. John’s, R-So., A (Wantagh, N.Y.)
Nowak matched a single-game program record with seven assists, to go with three goals and 10 points to lead the Red Storm to a season-opening win over NJIT, 15-14. The redshirt sophomore attacker scored or assisted on each of the final five tallies of the game, including the game-tying goal with 7:28 remaining in regulation, before finding Brian Kelly for the game-winning assist with just 3:25 on the clock.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Chris Caldwell, Denver, R-So., D (Draper, Utah)
In a dominating 14-8 win over Air Force on Saturday, Caldwell and the Pioneer defense forced 24 turnovers and converted 20 clears, while limiting the Falcons to just six tallies through the opening 50:40 of play with starting goalkeeper Malcolm Kleban between the pipes. Caldwell also tied his career-high with three caused turnovers to lead the backline for Denver.

BIG EAST Specialist of the Week
Casey Wilson, Denver, Sr., SSDM (Victoria, B.C.)
Preseason First-Team All-American Wilson took care of business against Air Force, forcing two caused turnovers to lead Denver to it first single-digit defensive performance of the season. The senior also made key plays on the offensive end, tallying a goal to start a 4-0 second quarter run to break the game open, as well as dishing out an assist.
 
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Ryan Ormond, St. John’s, Fr., A (Waxhaw, N.C.)
Making his collegiate debut on Saturday, Ormond was electrifying posting a game-high six goals to lead the Red Storm to a win over NJIT. Ormond became the first St. John’s player to tally six in a game since Jonathan Huber in 2022. In addition, he became the first freshman since the program’s reinstatement (2005) to post six goals in a contest.

Joshua Carlson, Denver, R-Sr., M
Carlson led the Denver offense with two goals and two assists to match his career-high of four points.
Nolan Rappis, Marquette, Sr., A
Rappis set a new Marquette single-game record with 10 points in Saturday’s 16-6 win over Detroit Mercy. He scored on five of his six shots and dished out five assists.
Ryan Bell, Providence, Sr., A/M
Bell continued his prolific offensive start to his senior campaign, adding seven more points and handing out six assists. Through two contests, Bell leads the nation with 14 assists.
Don Donahue, Providence, Gr., G
Donahue collected 15 saves and three ground balls to lead the Friars to victory on the defensive end. The graduate goalie faced 45 shots and capped the day with a .556 save percentage.
Brian Kelly, St. John’s, Sr., A
Kelly tallied six points and set a new career mark with five assists in St. John’s win on Saturday. The senior scored the game-winning goal with 3:25 remaining and then singlehandedly ran out the final 26 seconds of the contest, ensuring NJIT never regained possession.
