In Thursday’s first semifinal game, Georgetown took advantage of a fast-paced third-quarter. Exiting the locker room with a 4-3 edge, the Hoyas scored three consecutive goals in the first four minutes of the third, and closed out the five-goal quarter with a 9-4 lead they would not relinquish. Jake Bickel and Jack Schubert both registered hat tricks, while Anderson Moore posted a .619 save percentage with 13 saves.

In net, Cam Sterritt finished with 14 saves and a .700 save percentage, while Jack Cooper dominated the X-Spot going 15-of-17 (.882) with 11 ground balls.

Providence heads into Saturday with a 2-7 record in BIG EAST Tournament history, and is set to appear in its second championship game. Head-to-head, Georgetown owns a 21-2 record against the Friars, riding a 12-game winning streak.
