Seton Hall's Aguilar, Creighton's Feldman Earn Weekly Golf Honors

NEW YORK – Seton Hall's Marta Aguilar and Creighton's Grant Feldman have earned the first weekly honors of the 2025 fall golf season. Aguilar was selected as the BIG EAST Female Golfer of the Week after placing fourth - three strokes off the lead - at The Southern tournament in Statesboro, Ga.  Feldman was named BIG EAST Male Golfer of the Week after tying for second place at the Wildcat Invitational in Manhattan, Kan.

Aguilar started the 2025 fall season strong, with a fourth place finish at The Southern, held in Statesboro, Ga.  She was 3-over for the tournament, finishing with an aggregate score of 219.  Aguilar carded a pair of even-par 72's in the first two rounds of play and registered three birdies during the final round.  She finished three strokes off the lead and registered her seventh top 10 finish in 11 career starts.

Grant Feldman, Creighton, Sr.

Feldman tied for second place at the Wildcat Invitational, firing a 3-under aggregate score of 213 for the three-round, 54-hole tournament - one shot behind the medalist.  He carded five birdies during the opening round of play, finishing with a score of 70.  After a second round 73, Feldman closed out tournament play with another 70.  It marked the second straight year that Feldman finished as runner-up at the Wildcat Invitational.

Women’s Notes – Seton Hall placed 11th as a team in its season opener at The Southern...Butler finished third overall at the Redbird Fall Invitational in Normal, Ill., led by a pair of 12th place finishes from Cybil Stillson and Addi Kooi (224, +8)...Georgetown made its fall debut at the Cougar Classic at the Yeamans Hall Club in South Carolina...the Hoyas were led by Georgia Ruffolo (221, +8)...Creighton was sixth overall at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial in Springfield, Mo. ... Morgan Becker was the top finisher for the Jays, placing fourth in a new collegiate personal best score of 217

Men’s Notes – Will Hennessee led Seton Hall at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial in Hamilton, N.Y., finishing fourth with a total score of 215 (-1) including a second round 66...As a team, the Pirates placed second, with a 1-under aggregate of 863 (292-281-289) - the 22nd time SHU has finished a tournament under par...Connecticut opened its fall by tying for fourth place at the Metropolis Intercollegiate in White Plains, N.Y. ...junior Bradley Sawka led the Huskies, finishing fifth overall with a final score of 215 (+5)...Creighton earned a fourth place finish at the Wildcat Invitational to begin its 2025 fall schedule...Villanova finished third (872, +8) at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial...the Wildcats were led by Ryan Pamer's fifth place finish overall (216, E) while Matt Zerfass finished eighth (217, +1).
