BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Natalie Ring, Sr., OH, Marquette
Ring led the BIG EAST with 5.27 kills and 6.27 points per set on .259 hitting as the Golden Eagles opened 2025 with a 2-1 record at the Rainbow Wahine Volleyball Classic. She contributed 79 total kills, 11 service aces, and 24 digs in three matches. Ring began the season with 27 kills on a career-high 80 attacks in Marquette’s win over Hawaii (3-2) before registering a season-best 28 kills in a 3-2 victory over Utah State.
BIG EAST Co-Defensive Player of the Week
Eloise Brandewie, Jr., MB, Creighton
Brandewie averaged 1.64 blocks per set as Creighton opened the season against a trio of Top-25 opponents. In the Bluejays 3-2 victory over No. 14 Kansas, the junior logged a career-high nine blocks while contributing nine kills and four digs. In a setback to No. 5 Texas, Brandewie registered a match-best seven blocks with five kills. Additionally, she hit a team-leading .455 in her Bluejay debut with five kills and two blocks against defending national champion Penn State.
BIG EAST Co-Defensive Player of the Week
Margo Kemp, RS-So., MB, Xavier
Kemp led the league with 1.82 blocks per set as Xavier went undefeated at the Stacheville Challenge. In a 3-1 victory over Murray State, she logged 10 blocks with six kills. Versus Tennessee Tech (W, 3-0), she contributed seven blocks with eight kills.
BIG EAST Setter of the Week
Kaylee Finnegan, Jr., S, Butler
Finnegan led the BIG EAST with 10.67 assists per set as Butler enjoyed an undefeated opening weekend at the Big Dawg Kickoff. She was the match-leader in assists during all three outings while contributing a total of 22 digs, six kills, and five blocks over the course of the weekend.
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Morgan Stewart, Fr., OH, DePaul
Stewart led all conference freshman with 4.33 kills and 4.96 points per set on .207 hitting as DePaul started the 2025 campaign with a 2-1 record at the Western Michigan Tournament. She led the Blue Demons offense with double-digit kills in each match, including a 22-kill performance in a reverse sweep of Oakland. Additionally, she totaled 34 digs, seven blocks, and three aces on the weekend.
Honor Roll
Doga Kutlu, Gr., S., UConn
Kutlu averaged 9.36 assists per set as UConn claimed three victories at the Bearcat Classic. The graduate setter also contributed 27 digs, 12 kills, six blocks, and three aces.
Audrey Rome, RS-Jr., MB, UConn
Rome registered a BIG EAST best .667 hitting percentage while averaging 2.82 kills and 3.36 points per set over the Huskies’ undefeated weekend. The middle blocker logged a career-high 13 kills on .632 hitting in a 3-2 victory over Binghampton.
Eva Hurrle, Fr., L, DePaul
Hurrle led the league with 5.00 digs per set in her first collegiate weekend. Additionally, the libero logged nine assists and a team-best four service aces.
Isabela Haggard, Fr., S, Marquette
Haggard averaged 10.27 assists per match with a pair of 50+ helper performances in Hawaii. Additionally, she contributed nine kills, six blocks, and four aces.
Abby Harrell, Jr., OH, Villanova
Harrell was named Tournament MVP at the Catholic Challenge after leading the Wildcats to a 2-0 weekend while averaging 4.25 kills per set on .377 hitting. The junior hit a career-best .640 with 16 kills versus Santa Clara (W, 3-0) before notching a double-double (18 kills, 11 digs) against Notre Dame (W, 3-2).
