NEW YORK – Marquette's Vincent Cervantes and Seton Hall's Marta Aguilar were recognized by the BIG EAST as its Male and Female Golfers of the Week. Cervantes led the Golden Eagles, tying for medalist honors at the University Club of Kentucky this past week. Aguilar was the Pirates' top finisher, tying for first place at the Rutgers Invitational in Piscataway, N.J.

Cervantes captured his second career collegiate victory last week, tying for first place at the Bluegrass Collegiate Invitational in Lexington, Ky. The sophomore finished with an even-par total score of 213, posting three consecutive rounds of 71 over the 54-hole competition. Heading into the final two holes, Cervantes trailed by two strokes and rallied to finish atop the leaderboard. He finished among the leaders in the field in par 3 (3.17 avg, +2) and par 5 (4.67 avg, -3) scoring for the tournament.
BIG EAST Female Golfer of the Week

Aguilar earned her fourth career win - and second of the 2026 spring campaign - earning a share of the individual title at the Rutgers Invitational. The sophomore finished with a 6-over par total of 219, opening with an even-par 71, carding a second round 76, before registering two birdies and 14 pars en route to a final round 72. She finished with 36 pars - second-most among the 88 player field. Aguilar's four career victories are the most in Seton Hall women's golf history.

Marquette was second as a team at the Bluegrass Collegiate Invitational, finishing four shots back of tournament host Kentucky with a 10-over par 862...in addition to the win by Vincent Cervantes, two other Golden Eagles finished among the top 10, with Mason Schmidtke tying for fifth at 3-over (216) and Mischa Candinas tying for seventh at 4-over (217)...

Villanova competed at the Mountaineer Invitational at the Pete Dye Golf Club on April 14-15...the Musketeers finished eighth as a team (882), led by Cayse Morgan's 26th place finish with a 3-over 219...Villanova was 11th on the team leaderboard (889), led by Ryan Pamer who tied for fifth place overall with a 5-under 211...Pamer registered an eagle and 16 birdies over the 54 holes of competition...
Butler placed 14th at the Robert Kepler Invitational from April 11-12, hosted by Ohio State...the Bulldogs' Leo Zurovac tied for 19th place, finishing with a 3-under par total score of 213...
Providence's Campbell Skelly tied for 29th place at the Wofford Invitational from April 12-14, pacing the Friars to a 13th place finish...Skelly finished with a 3-over 216, posting 13 birdies over the 54 holes of play.
