NEW YORK – (April 24, 2026) The bracket for the 2026 BIG EAST Men’s Lacrosse Championship Presented by JEEP was solidified Friday night. Denver topped Marquette to secure the final spot in the Championship, joining Georgetown, Providence and Villanova in the four-team field.

In a game to decide the No. 1 seed, Georgetown (8-4, 5-0 BE) took advantage of a fast start to push past the Wildcats (6-7, 3-2 BE). The Hoyas opened the first quarter with a 5-2 lead, ultimately walking away with a 9-6 road win. Rory Connor led the offense with four goals on 13 shots, while Kevin Miller registered a hat trick with three goals. Liam Connor tallied four points with a goal and three assists. Despite the setback, Villanova earned the No. 3 seed in next week’s tournament.

In a matchup for the final postseason berth, Denver (6-7, 2-3 BE) used a stout defense to win a close one against Marquette (6-7, 2-3 BE), 10-9, to lock up the No. 4 seed in the BIG EAST Championship. The nation’s leader in save percentage once again acted as a brick wall in between the pipes, corralling 15 saves for a .625 save percentage. Offensively, Cody Malawsky led the attack with five goals.

Rounding out the night, Providence (7-8, 3-2) outlasted St. John’s (2-12, 0-5), 18-10, to lock up the No. 2 seed in the Championship. Rhett Chambers (4G, 3A) and Richie Joseph (6G, 1A) led the attack for the Friars with seven points apiece.

The BIG EAST Championship will open Thursday, April 30 at Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium, with No. 1 seed Georgetown facing off against No. 4 seed Denver for a spot in the title game. The game will air on ESPN+ at 4:30 p.m. ET.

The second semifinal will be played between the tournament host and No. 2 seed Providence and No. 3 seed Villanova. The game will also air on ESPN+  with a projected 7:30 p.m. ET face off.

Semifinal winners will meet on May 2 to decide the conference champion and earn the league’s automatic bid into the 2026 NCAA Championship. The BIG EAST final will air live on ESPNU at 2 p.m. ET.
