NEW YORK – After the final out was called in Cincinnati Saturday afternoon to wrap up a full Saturday slate with all eight BIG EAST baseball teams in action, the official bracket of the 2026 BIG EAST Baseball Championship Presented by Jeep was set.
The regular season concluded with a three-way tie at the top of the standings, with UConn, St. John’s and Xavier each capping league play with a 15-6 mark and a share of the regular season crown. Separated by a pair of series wins against the Musketeers and Huskies earlier in the season, St. John’s locked up the No. 1 seed, followed by UConn at No. 2 and Xavier at No. 3. Rounding out the four team field, Creighton locked up the No. 4 seed with a 13-8 league mark.
The double elimination tournament is scheduled to begin Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. ET at Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio. The Red Storm will begin play against the Bluejays, followed by UConn and Xavier at 6:30 p.m.
In Saturday’s four contests, Xavier outlasted Creighton 5-3, while St. John’s capped a series win over Butler, 4-1. In Storrs, Villanova took game three against the Huskies with a 9-6 triumph, while Georgetown topped Seton Hall, 7-2.
The 2026 BIG EAST Baseball Championship Presented by JEEP will be co-hosted by Xavier University at Prasco Park in nearby Mason, Ohio. It is the seventh time the championship has been hosted at Prasco Park. The tournament will be held May 20-23, 2026. The top four teams in the BIG EAST baseball standings qualify for the tournament, which is a double-elimination format.
