BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Allan Juarez, Creighton, 5th-Yr., M (San Francisco, Calif.)
Juarez guided Creighton to a 3-0 victory over Providence in its BIG EAST opener, scoring the game-winning goal and assisting on the Bluejays’ third tally. He finished with a goal and an assist for three points, making him the only BIG EAST player with a three-point performance during the week. It marked Juarez’s second three-point match of the season, also accomplishing the feat in his Creighton debut.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Eric Howard, Georgetown, Sr., M (Redmond, Wash.)
Howard helped Georgetown post its fourth shutout victory of the season in a 3-0 win over Marquette in the BIG EAST opener. The Hoyas limited the Golden Eagles to just four shots, including two on goal, while keeping Marquette off the scoreboard for the first time this season.
 
BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Brooks Boersma, Butler, R-Jr., GK (Haslett, Mich.)
Boersma turned in an eight-save shutout as Butler earned a scoreless draw on the road against sixth-ranked Akron. The redshirt junior faced 22 shots and stopped all eight attempts on goal to secure the clean sheet. His eight saves were the most by a BIG EAST goalkeeper during the week.
 
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Noah Strellnauer, Georgetown, Fr., M (Las Vegas, Nev.)
Strellnauer scored his first collegiate goal in Georgetown’s 3-0 victory over Marquette. The freshman helped the Hoyas open BIG EAST play with their fourth shutout victory of the season.
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Matthew Hudson, Creighton, Jr., GK (Lee’s Summit, Mo.)
Hudson returned from injury to post his first clean sheet of the season, making four saves in Creighton’s 3-0 victory over Providence. The junior faced 10 shots in his return to the lineup, including seven in the opening half.
 
Noeh Hernandez, DePaul, Sr., M (Bridgeview, Ill.)
Hernandez scored the equalizer in the 89th minute as DePaul battled Xavier to a 1-1 draw in the BIG EAST opener. The senior connected on a volley from 20 yards out and finished the match with five shots. The goal was his team-leading fifth of the season and extended his point streak to five consecutive matches.
 
Mateo Ponce Ocampo, Georgetown, Sr., M (Harrison, N.Y.)
Ponce Ocampo assisted on two of Georgetown’s three goals in the Hoyas’ 3-0 victory over Marquette. His two assists led all BIG EAST players during the week.
 
Nico Rubio, Seton Hall, Sr., M (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.)
Rubio scored the game-winning goal in Seton Hall’s 2-1 road victory over UConn. The 15th-minute strike marked his first collegiate goal in 48 career appearances for the Pirates. Rubio leads Seton Hall in assists and points this season.
 
Luca Fargnoli, St. John’s, Jr., F (North Bellmore, N.Y.)
Fargnoli scored the equalizing goal in the 51st minute as St. John’s rallied for a 2-1 victory over Villanova in its BIG EAST opener. The tally was his team-leading third goal of the season.
