Kotch helped lead Villanova to a 2-0 victory over St. John’s in its BIG EAST opener, recording a career-high two assists. The junior played a role in both Wildcat goals and led all players with six shots, placing two on frame.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Meredith Palmer, Villanova, Jr., D
Palmer helped anchor the Villanova defense to its seventh clean sheet of the season in a 2-0 victory over St. John’s. The junior played the full 90 minutes and added an assist on the Wildcats’ second goal with a long pass, helping Villanova remain unbeaten on the year.
 
BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Kate Kleinsmith, Seton Hall, So., GK
Kleinsmith made four saves in Seton Hall’s scoreless draw at DePaul, helping the Pirates earn a point in their BIG EAST opener. The sophomore made a stop in the 90th minute to preserve the shutout, marking her fourth consecutive clean sheet.
 
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Kieran Bradley, Xavier, Fr., F
Bradley scored the game-winning goal in Xavier’s 4-3 road victory over Georgetown to open BIG EAST play. The freshman found the back of the net in the 70th minute to put the Musketeers ahead 4-1, marking her fourth goal and second game-winner of the season.

Aliza Mannon, Georgetown, So., F
Mannon scored twice on four shots in Georgetown’s 4-3 setback to Xavier, accounting for a league-high four points on the week.
 
Gemma Gillespie, Butler, Jr., D
Gillespie scored the game-tying goal on a diving header with just nine seconds remaining in Butler’s 1-1 draw with Marquette.
 
Jocy Koffi, Providence, Fr., F
Koffi scored Providence’s lone goal in a 1-1 road draw at Creighton, placing all three of her shots on goal over 82 minutes of action.
 
Morgan Paley, Creighton, Jr., GK
Paley recorded a career-high four saves in Creighton’s 1-1 draw with Providence, highlighted by a penalty-kick save and another stop on the ensuing opportunity.
 
Kristen Schwartz, DePaul, Sr., D
Schwartz played all 90 minutes in DePaul’s scoreless draw with Seton Hall, helping the Blue Demons limit the Pirates to six shots and just one on goal.
