BIG EAST Spring Television, BEDN Slate Announced

Complete championship coverage as well as a complement of regular-season contests across FS1, FS2, CBS Sports Network and the BIG EAST Digital Network presented by SoFi.

NEW YORK – The BIG EAST Conference announced coverage for upcoming championship events as well as select regular-season contests. FS1, FS2 and CBS Sports Network will combine to air at least 20 contests this spring, while the BIG EAST Digital Network presented by SoFi will cover nearly 50 events. Regular-season FS1 coverage kicks off on March 13 with the reigning men’s soccer national champions Georgetown, as the Hoyas host St. John’s at noon ET. It marks one of six regular-season contests televised by FOX Sports this spring.
 
Seven BIG EAST Championships will have their title games air to national television audiences, beginning on April 3 with the volleyball final live from D.J. Sokol Arena in Omaha, Neb. Coverage on FS1 begins at 12:30 p.m. ET. Additional nationally televised championship games include men’s soccer (April 17, FS2, 3 p.m.), women’s soccer (April 18, FS1, 11 a.m.), women’s lacrosse (May 8, FS2, noon) and baseball (May 30, FS2, 1 p.m.). The semifinals and final of the BIG EAST Softball Championship will air on FS2, set for May 14-15 at Burrill Family Field on the campus of the University of Connecticut. CBS Sports Network will provide wire-to-wire coverage of the BIG EAST Men’s Lacrosse Championship, set for May 6 and 8 at Anderson Stadium at Providence College. Jeep is the presenting sponsor for all 22 of the BIG EAST Championships.
 
In addition to the St. John’s at Georgetown contest on March 13, FS1 is also slated to air Providence at DePaul softball on March 21 at 2:30 p.m., Providence at Georgetown men’s soccer on March 27 at 1 p.m., Villanova at Georgetown women’s soccer on March 28 at 1 p.m., and UConn at Creighton baseball on April 16 at 7 p.m., while Denver at Georgetown men’s lacrosse on April 17 at noon will air on FS2. CBS Sports Network will air three regular-season contests, including the Georgetown at St. John’s men’s soccer match set for April 10 (3:30 p.m.), Providence at Georgetown men’s lacrosse on April 24 at 2:30 p.m., and Xavier at Creighton baseball on May 22 at 1 p.m.
 
The BIG EAST Cross Country Championships presented by JEEP on March 5 kicked off BEDN coverage for the spring. Regular-season action on BEDN starts with Butler at Xavier volleyball on March 19. A total of 23 regular-season tilts will stream on BEDN this spring. All spring BEDN competitions can be streamed on via the BIG EAST’s YouTube channel – YouTube.com/BIGEASTConference.
