BIG EAST Men’s Track Athlete of the Week
Barry Keane, Butler, Junior
Keane posted a time of 28:15.60 in the 10,000-meter run on Friday night at the Raleigh Relays. He finished second in the prestigious field of 107 runners. Keane’s time is the best in the BIG EAST and second in NCAA Division I so far this season.
 
BIG EAST Men’s Field Athlete of the Week
Benjamin Grosse, Connecticut, Senior
At the Texas Relays, Grosse finished ninth in the decathlon in his first time competing in the event this season. He finished with 7158 total points and was fourth in the javelin (53.88m) and fourth in the 1500 meters (4:34.83).

BIG EAST Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Lydia Olivere, Villanova, Senior
Olivere ran her first steeplechase race of the season and finished second against strong competition at the Raleigh Relays, first among collegiate competition. Her time of 10:01.65 is the third-fastest in school history and faster than she ran at the Olympic Trials last summer. She currently has the national lead in the event this season.
 
BIG EAST Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
Patricia Mroczkowski, Connecticut, Junior
Mroczkowski repeats as top field athlete after setting an outdoor personal best in the high jump, clearing the bar at 1.77 meters at the 94th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. The height currently lists 16th nationally.
