BIG EAST Men’s Track Athlete of the Week
Liam Back, Providence, Sophomore
Back ran the mile in the Friar Invitational on Friday, setting a personal best with the first sub four-minute mile of his career in 3:59.06. Back’s time was the first sub-four mile at the Tray Treacy Track facility, besting the previous record by 4.19 seconds.
 
BIG EAST Men’s Field Athlete of the Week
Daniel Claxton, Connecticut, Sophomore
Claxton had his best outing of the outdoor season, clearing the bar at 2.06 meters in the high jump to place fourth overall at the LSU Joe May Invitational.  He leads the BIG EAST and is 73rd on the national list.

BIG EAST Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Leah Anderson, St. John’s, Graduate Student
At the Hurricane Alumni Invitational, Anderson recorded a trio of times which rank within the top 100 in the NCAA this season. Her runner-up finishes in the 200m (23.71) and 400m (52.74) rank 86th and 14th nationally, while she was also a member of the 4x100 relay squad which recorded the 55th-fastest time this spring with a finish of 45.14.
 
BIG EAST Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
Patricia Mroczkowski, Connecticut, Junior
Mroczkowski continues her stranglehold on the top field athlete honor with the 10th-best high jump mark in the nation this season. The junior eclipsed the bar at 1.83 meters at the LSU Joe May Invitational, once again setting a personal best.
