2022 All-BIG EAST Teams – Outdoor Track & Field
NEW YORK – Following their performances at the 2022 BIG EAST Outdoor Track & Field Championships presented by JEEP, 148 student-athletes across eight schools were named to the All-BIG EAST Team. The All-BIG EAST squad is comprised of BIG EAST competitors who finished in the top three in any individual or relay event at the championships, with this season’s meet held May 13-14 at the University of Connecticut.
On the list were 75 men and 73 women, including 30 (16 men, 14 women) who earned all-conference recognition in multiple events. St. John’s Leah Anderson and Tatyana McKenzie led all competitors with four All-BIG EAST certificates apiece. Anderson took gold medals in the 200m, 400m, 4x100 relay and 4x400 relay, while McKenzie joined her on the 4x100 and 4x400, while winning the 100m and finishing runner-up in the 200m. Four student-athletes earned three All-BIG EAST nods: UConn’s Brianna Davis (100m, 200m, 4x100), St. John’s Skyy Diop (400m, 4x100, 4x400), DePaul’s Dominic Cole (100m, 200m, 4x100) and Georgetown’s Joshua Paige (100m, 200m, 4x400).
UConn swept both team titles for the first time and also led with a total of 55 All-BIG EAST honors, including 26 on the men’s side and 29 on the women’s side. Georgetown men tallied the second-most All-BIG EAST nods with 18, while the Hoyas and St. John’s tied for the second-most on the women’s side with 15 apiece.
