BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Natalie Tavana, Seton Hall, Jr., M
The reigning BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week now earns her third selection of the season following another impactful week for Seton Hall. The junior continued her scorching season with three points over two games, adding an assist on the Pirates’ lone goal in a 1-0 win over Marquette on Thursday, followed by a goal of her own in a 1-1 draw against No. 12 Georgetown on Sunday. Her performances kept her atop the BIG EAST in total points with 24, as well as goals with 11. No other player in the conference has scored more than seven times on the year. On a national scale, she is tied for 11th in goals scored and tied for ninth in goals per game with 0.85. Tavana has proven to be one of the most impactful players in the conference this season, as she has led the Pirates to eight points in the BIG EAST standings, already exceeding their point total from last season, while being the most points in a season for Seton Hall since 2013.

BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Maddie Reed, Xavier, Sr., D
Reed was a part of a backline for Xavier that stymied opponents en route to back-to-back shutouts on the week. The senior defender played all 180 minutes over the two games, consistently aiding in stopping attacks. Beginning in a highly anticipated match against No. 12 Georgetown on Thursday, the Musketeers allowed just seven total shots and only two shots on goal as they fought to a 0-0 draw. Their defensive performance was followed up with a 1-0 shutout against UConn on Sunday, as Reed helped in allowing just four shots on goal throughout the contest. Overall, Xavier held a 29-19 total shot advantage, 15-6 shots on goal advantage, and 11-10 advantage in corners in their 1-0-1 week. The Musketeers now sit at 3-0-3 in-conference, tied with Georgetown atop the BIG EAST standings.

BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Maria Galley, Xavier, So., GK
Galley earns her third Goalkeeper of the Week honor after an impressive week in net for Xavier. The sophomore keeper posted back-to-back solo clean sheets in a 0-0 draw against No. 12 Georgetown on Thursday and a 1-0 win at UConn on Sunday. She totaled six saves across the two contests, including four against UConn to solidify the victory for the Musketeers. Galley has now totaled eight shutouts on the year, tied for the most in the conference and tied for the fifth-most in the nation. She has been brilliant all year, but especially in conference play, as her 0.33 goals against average over six conference games is tied for the lowest in the BIG EAST.

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Anja Jestrovic, Creighton, Fr., M
Jestrovic helped Creighton to a 1-1 week to earn their first conference win of the season, as she totaled three points on eight shots across the two matches. The freshman from Serbia netted her first career goal against St. John’s on Thursday to put the Bluejays in the scoring column, while also tallying four shots on goal overall in the match. She then recorded her first career assist against Villanova on Sunday, delivering a cross on a tying goal in what would eventually be a 2-1 win.
