2023 All-BIG EAST Team - Indoor Track & Field
NEW YORK – Following their performances at the 2023 BIG EAST Indoor Track & Field Championships presented by JEEP, 127 student-athletes across eight schools were named to the All-BIG EAST Team. The All-BIG EAST squad is made up of BIG EAST competitors who finished in the top three in any individual or relay event at the championships, with this season’s meet held February 24-25 at the Dr. Conrad Worrill Track & Field Center at Gately Park in Chicago.
On the list of 66 men and 61 women, including 33 (19 women, 14 men) who earned all-conference recognition in multiple events. St. John’s Tatyana McKenzie and Connecticut’s Kasey Savage led all competitors with three All-BIG EAST certificates apiece. McKenzie finished first in the 200m, second in the 400m and was the anchor for the Red Storm 4x400m relay team that placed third., while Savage placed in the top-three in the high jump (first), triple jump (second) and long jump (third).
UConn swept both team titles for the second time and also led with a total of 29 All-BIG EAST honors, including 16 on the men’s side and 13 on the women’s side. The DePaul women earned the most All-BIG EAST nods with 15, while the Blue Demons and Villanova tied for second-most on the men’s side with 13 apiece.
