UConn Men and Women Claim Fifth Straight BIG EAST Indoor Track and Field Titles

Final Results 
CHICAGO – The Connecticut men and women both captured their fifth consecutive titles at the 2026 BIG EAST Indoor Track and Field Championships presented by JEEP. 

The UConn men finished with 194 points. Second place went to DePaul with 113 points while Butler finished third with 91. On the women's side, the Huskies finished with 169 points. DePaul came in second with 133 points and Villanova took third with 115. 

For the women, Providence’s Maeve O’Neill was named the Most Outstanding Track Performer. O’Neill finished first in the 800m and set a new BIG EAST record with a time of 2:01.15.  

DePaul’s Jaiah Hopf was named the Most Outstanding Field Performer after placing first in the triple jump with a mark of 12.78m and second in the long jump with 6.22m. Teammate Sade Miller was the High Point Performer of the Meet with 20.0 individual points, finishing first both the 60m with a time of 7.34 seconds and the 200m with a time of 23.52. 
In the mile, Georgetown’s Charlotte Tomkinson broke the BIG EAST Indoor Championship record with a time of 4:34.77.

For the men, Butler’s Jesse Hamlin was named Most Outstanding Track Performer after capturing gold in the 5,000 meters (14:13.36), the mile (4:15.14), and as a member of the winning 4x800-meter relay team. He also was named the High Point Performer of the meet, totaling 22.5 points.

UConn's Joshua Mooney was named Most Outstanding Field Performer, placing first in the heptathlon with 5,717 points.

DePaul's Demetrius Rolle broke his own BIG EAST Indoor Track and Field Championship record in the preliminaries of the 60m with a time of 6.69 seconds. He previously set the record in 2025 with a time of 6.70 seconds.
