Georgetown and Villanova Split #BIGEASTmlax Weekly Honors

BIG EAST Attack Player of the Week
Tucker Dordevic, Georgetown, Gr., A (Portland, Ore.)
Dordevic led the Hoyas offense in a high-scoring affair, tying a career-high with six goals in Georgetown’s 17-15 win over Lehigh. The victory marks the fourth in a row for the Hoyas ahead of conference play. The attacker scored both of the Hoyas’ first-quarter goals to keep the game within reach, trailing 3-2. He completed the first-half hat trick midway through the second quarter, evening the score at 6-6. After the Hoyas took a 12-11 lead, Dordevic tallied three straight goals to put the game away for good in the third quarter, up 15-12.
 
BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week
Matt Campbell, Villanova, Gr., M (Madison, N.J.)
Campbell tied a career high with eight points in a 17-6 win over Navy, including a career-high six assists, marking the second time this season and seventh time in school history a Villanova player had six or more assists in a game. His fourth assist of the game marked the 200th point of his career, becoming the third player in school history to reach the 200 point milestone and is currently just nine points away from tying the program’s all-time record of 213 points. Overall, Villanova extend its winning streak to six games to improve to 7-1 on the year.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Will Vitton, Villanova, Gr., G (Summit, N.J.)
Recorded his fourth straight game and sixth of the season making 10 or more saves, stopping a total of 12 shots in the win over Navy. Overall, he allowed just four goals in the contest, setting a new season low. Over his last five games, he has compiled a 6.58 goals-against average with a .624 save percentage and an average of 10.6 saves per contest. Riding a six-game winning streak, the team’s 7-1 start matches its best since 2011 and is the fourth time the Wildcats have ever been 7-1 through eight games.
 
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Patrick Crogan, Georgetown, Fr., M (Lexington, Mass.)
In a 17-15 win over Lehigh, Crogan posted his first collegiate hat trick. His second goal of the game came in the final minute of the opening half to even the score at 10-10 heading into the locker room.
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Wallace Halpert, Georgetown, Jr., D
Was credited with two caused turnovers and collected five ground balls in Georgetown’s 17-15 win over Lehigh. The junior also added a man-up goal, to give the Hoyas a 12-10 lead in the third quarter.
Bobby O’Grady, Marquette, So., A
O’Grady posted a game-high four goals in Marquette’s 9-5 win over St. Bonaventure on Saturday afternoon. The sophomore scored back-to-back goals late in the second quarter and tallied his final pair to help MU to a 9-3 lead midway through the final frame.
Patrick Daly, Villanova, Gr., A
Scored a season-high and game-high five goals in a 17-6 win over Navy. It was the seventh time in eight games this season that Daly has recorded a hat trick or better.
