BIG EAST Spring Olympic Sports National Television Slate Announced

NEW YORK – The BIG EAST Conference announced its spring Olympic sports national television schedule on Tuesday. A total of 18 matches across men’s and women’s lacrosse, baseball and softball will air to a national audience, with FS1, FS2 and CBS Sports Network selecting contests during both the regular season and conference postseason. BIG EAST broadcast partner FOX Sports will carry at least eight contests, including the championship games of women’s lacrosse, softball and baseball.
 
In addition to the national television slate, the BIG EAST Digital Network available on FloSports Presented by Invesco QQQ will produce more than 45 events. Combined with school-produced competitions, FloSports will carry upwards of 250 BIG EAST events this spring.
 
FOX Sports selected a quartet of regular-season games to highlight, beginning on March 29 when Creighton hosts UConn in softball. First pitch on FS1 is set for 5 p.m. ET. Softball coverage continues on April 25 when UConn hosts Georgetown at 7 p.m. on FS1.
 
On April 15, Creighton hosts a non-conference game in baseball against in-state rival Nebraska at 7 p.m. on FS1. In women’s lacrosse on April 19, Marquette travels to play Georgetown at Noon on FS1.
 
FOX Sports postseason coverage begins on May 1 with the title game of the BIG EAST Women’s Lacrosse Championship. Villanova will serve as host of this year’s tournament, with the final set for May 3 on FS2 at 6 p.m. The BIG EAST Softball Championship follows on FS2, with the second semifinal game on May 9 at 6 p.m. Championship Saturday begins at 4 p.m. on May 10 on FS1, with the if-necessary game scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on FS2. The Softball Championship is set to be hosted by Villanova at the Villanova Softball Complex. Championship coverage concludes on May 24 at Prasco Park, with the BIG EAST Baseball Championship game scheduled for 5 p.m. on FS2. An if-necessary game is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. on FS1. Jeep is the presenting sponsor for all 22 of the BIG EAST Championships.
 
CBS Sports Network has selected five regular season contests in baseball and men’s lacrosse. Beginning on April 12 reigning BIG EAST men’s lacrosse regular season champion Denver and reigning tournament champion Georgetown are scheduled to face off in Washington, D.C. The game is scheduled for 3 p.m.

On April 14, Georgetown hosts Oregon in baseball at 11 a.m. Men’s Lacrosse coverage continues on April 19, with Denver welcoming Providence to Peter Barton Stadium at 5 p.m.

Georgetown men’s lacrosse returns home on April 25 to host Villanova at 7 p.m. on CBS Sports Network, while UConn baseball takes on Rutgers at home at 5 p.m. on April 29.
 
For the seventh consecutive year, CBS Sports Network will provide wire-to-wire coverage of the BIG EAST Men’s Lacrosse Championship. Denver will serve as host of this year’s tournament, with the semifinals on May 1 set for 6 and 9 p.m., followed by the final on May 3 at 5 p.m.
 
BEDN on FloSports Presented by Invesco QQQ coverage includes both regular-season and postseason competitions. Among the 45 events slated for BEDN are the opening round games of the BIG EAST Women’s Lacrosse, Softball and Baseball Championships, as well as comprehensive coverage of the BIG EAST Outdoor Track & Field Championships. BEDN will also stream the title matches of the BIG EAST Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships.
 
In addition to live events, the BIG EAST Digital Network also produces original content available on FloSports and on the Conference’s social media channels.
