BIG EAST Women’s Singles Player of the Week
Abby Nugent, Jr., Xavier (Springboro, Ohio)
Nugent went 2-0 at No. 2 singles this week, notably defeating ITA No. 101 Ida Clement of Purdue in straight sets (6-4, 6-3). The Ohio native picked up her second straight set win of the weekend during the Musketeers 4-1 victory over Memphis, overcoming Alyssa Richter 6-1, 6-1.
BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week
Eleanor Nobbs (Sr., Bath, England) & Roberta Sechi (So., Sassari, Italy), DePaul
DePaul’s No. 2 doubles team went 2-0 on the weekend with victories at Georgetown and George Washington. Versus the Hoyas, Nobbs and Sechi defeated Novikov and Garofolo-Ro, 6-2, helping the Blue Demons to a 5-2 BIG EAST victory. Against the Revolutionaries, the pair battled back after going down match point to defeat Madison Lee and Victoria Sasinka, 7-5, helping clinch the essential doubles point in the 4-3 team victory.
BIG EAST Men’s Singles Player of the Week
Leonardo Mileikowsky, Sr., St. John’s (Brussels, Belgium)
Mileikowsky registered four consecutive straight set wins as the Red Storm enjoyed an undefeated week to move to 6-0 on the spring season. The senior opened the week with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Quinnipiac’s Carl Sjoholm at No. 5 singles and 6-0, 6-3 defeat of Rider’s Matthew Grisciti at No. 3 singles on Wednesday. On Friday, Mileikowsky secured two more victories, defeating Fairleigh Dickinson’s Jorge Alonso-Cortes (No. 5, 6-0, 6-3) and Morgan State’s Yessine Kerouat (No. 4, 6-4, 6-2).

DePaul’s No. 1 doubles team defeated Marquette’s Cyrus Ahmad and Blake Roegner, 6-1, helping the Blue Demons to their first BIG EAST victory of the season (5-2).
