BIG EAST Women’s Singles Player of the Week
Sasha Stula, Jr., DePaul (Gifu, Japan)
Stula helped DePaul to a 2-0 weekend, including a 5-2 victory over Toledo and 4-3 win over BIG EAST competitor Georgetown, clinching both matches with victories at No. 1 singles. The junior defeated Toledo’s JJ Scholten 6-4, 4-6, 6-4. She then came from behind to overcome Georgetown’s Emily Novikov (2-6, 7-5, 6-2) to give DePaul the league victory, helping the Blue Demons remain perfect at home (4-0).

BIG EAST Women’s Doubles Team of the Week
Abby Nugent (Sr., Springboro, Ohio) & Clara Owen (So., Dayton, Ohio), Xavier
Nugent and Owen secured the doubles point against Michigan State with a 6-3 win on the No. 1 court over the #88 ranked pair of Ellie Blackfoird and Matilde Morais. Nugent followed the doubles victory with a ranked singles win over #116 Amara Brahmbhatt at No. 1 singles.
