NEW YORK – Butler swept this week's BIG EAST Golf awards, as Leo Zurovac was named Male Golfer of the Week and Treva Dodd earned Female Golfer of the Week accolades.
Zurovac was the medalist at the 2026 Don Benbow Butler Spring Invitational, held at the Highland Country Club in Indianapolis. The senior's win was highlighted by a program record 62 (-8) during the opening round. Dodd placed fourth overall at the Colonel Classic in Richmond, Ky., helping the Bulldogs to a third place finish as a team.

Leo Zurovac, Butler, Sr.
Zurovac captured medalist honors and led the Bulldogs to the team title at the 2026 Don Benbow Butler Spring Invitational. During the opening round of play, the senior carded an 8-under 62, setting both a course record and a new Butler program best for a par-70 course. Zurovac ended the tournament with two eagles and 13 birdies, carding a 201 (-9) total. Zurovac carded an-even par 70 in Tuesday's final round, solidifying his first-place finish by two strokes.
BIG EAST Female Golfer of the Week
Treva Dodd, Butler, Jr.
Dodd placed fourth overall at the Colonel Classic in Richmond, Ky. She was the top finisher for the Bulldogs, with a 54-hole total score of 227 (+11), firing rounds of 73, 79, and 75. Dodd finished six shots off the lead, marking her second straight top five finish - and the fourth of the 2025-26 season. Dodd was third-best among the field in par 4 scoring (4.27 avg, +8) and fifth in par 5 scoring (4.83 avg, -2).
Men’s Notes: Butler's Derek Tabor was the runner-up at the Don Benbow Spring Invitational, finishing two strokes behind Zurovac with a 7-under 203...the Bulldogs took the team titles, finishing the 54-hole tournament with a team score of 826 (-14)...Creighton's Grant Feldman earned his second straight runner-up finish, placing second at the SeattleU Redhawk Invitational at Chambers Bay...Feldman fired rounds of 69, 72, and 67 for a 208 total (-8), helping pace the Bluejays to a ninth place finish on the team leaderboard...Xavier's Cayse Morgan (74-73-66=213, -3) tied for fifth place at the Seahawk Intercollegiate in Wilmington, N.C., marking his fifth top 10 finish of the season for the Musketeers...Xavier tied for sixth place as a team...Providence competed at the Cutter Creek Intercollegiate, placing 14th overall as a team...Callan Fahey led the Friars, posting 11 birdies en route to a tie for 67th place (75-79-79=233, +17).
Women's Notes: Butler placed third as a team at the Colonel Classic, recording a 54-hole total team score of 925 (304-316-305) - only five shots off the lead...the Bulldogs' Sophie McGinnis and Kelli Scheck tied for 13th place (233, +17)...Seton Hall's Kasumi Tran was the top finisher for the Pirates at the Georgia State Invitational...Tran tied for 20th, posting a career-best 8-over par 224 (75-74-75)...as a team, SHU finished with a team score of 921 (306-306-309), good for 11th place.
