Tavares opened his collegiate career with two goals and two assists for a league-best six points in a 1-0-1 week. The freshman tallied a goal and two assists in Thursday's 6-2 win over FIU before scoring the game-tying goal in the second half of Sunday's 1-1 draw with Drake.

Yagudayev turned away all four shots on goal he faced to lead Villanova to a 1-0 shutout victory over Temple in the season opener. The junior made several key stops to preserve the Wildcats' one-goal advantage and secure the clean sheet.

Sears made an impact on both ends of the field in his collegiate debut, registering a goal and an assist in Akron's 3-0 shutout of Dayton. He scored the game-winning goal in the 11th minute, helped the Zips preserve the clean sheet and later assisted on Akron's final goal.

Baker contributed a goal and an assist as Georgetown went unbeaten at 1-0-1 against North Carolina and Rutgers. He scored the Hoyas' goal in Thursday's 1-1 draw with North Carolina before adding an assist in Sunday's 2-1 victory over Rutgers.
