BIG EAST Offensive Player/Freshman of the Week
Tomiwa Adewumi, Marquette, Fr., F (Pittsburgh, Pa.)
Adewumi totaled five points with two goals and an assist in Marquette's 4-2 win at Northern Illinois on Thursday. The freshman scored twice in the opening six minutes on his first two shots of the match before adding his first career assist on the game-winning goal in the 65th minute. Adewumi became the first BIG EAST player to record five points in a match this season and the first Marquette freshman to score in each of his first three collegiate matches.
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Tate Lampman, Georgetown, Jr., D (Ann Arbor, Mich.)
Lampman anchored a Georgetown defense that posted consecutive clean sheets in a 2-0 week, limiting Delaware and No. 19 Duke to just two combined shots on goal. The Hoyas blanked Delaware, 1-0, before earning a 3-0 road victory over the Blue Devils on Sunday. Lampman also opened the scoring against Duke in the 55th minute, netting what proved to be the game-winning goal.
BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Brooks Boersma, Butler, R-Jr., GK (Haslett, Mich.)
Boersma made a league-high 13 saves in Butler's narrow 1-0 setback at No. 14 Indiana on Thursday. The redshirt junior kept the Hoosiers off the board for the opening 61 minutes, finishing with a .929 save percentage while facing 33 shots. His 13 saves were the most by a Butler goalkeeper since 2000 and tied for the fourth-highest single-game save total in program history.
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Jordan Igwenma, Creighton, Fr., F (Omaha, Neb.)
Igwenma recorded a goal and an assist in Creighton's 4-2 victory over San Francisco. He assisted on the Bluejays' second goal before scoring the game-winner in the 80th minute to finish the match with three points.
Noeh Hernandez, DePaul, Sr., M (Bridgeview, Ill.)
Hernandez scored a league-high three goals during DePaul's 1-1-1 week. He registered a brace, including the game-winning goal, in a 3-1 victory over Western Illinois before scoring the equalizer in Sunday's 3-3 draw at Loyola Chicago.
Mitchell Baker, Georgetown, Jr., F (Melbourne, Australia)
Baker scored twice to lead Georgetown to a 3-0 road victory over Duke on Sunday. His two-goal performance helped the Hoyas complete a 2-0 week in which they outscored their opponents 4-0.
Mateo Ponce Ocampo, Georgetown, Sr., M (Harrison, N.Y.)
Ponce Ocampo contributed a goal and an assist during Georgetown's 2-0 week. He scored the game-winning goal in Thursday's 1-0 victory over Delaware before adding an assist in Sunday's 3-0 road win at Duke.
Alex Yagudayev, Villanova, Jr., GK (Brooklyn, N.Y.)
Yagudayev went 1-0-1 while allowing just one goal over 180 minutes. He posted a shutout in a 1-0 win over Saint Peter's before making five saves in a 1-1 road draw against defending Ivy League champion Princeton.
Ekene Okeke, Xavier, Sr., D (Houston, Texas)
Okeke played all 90 minutes in Xavier's scoreless draw against Bellarmine. The Musketeers limited the Knights to just two total shots and did not allow a shot on goal, marking Xavier's first match without conceding a shot on target since 2021.
