Graham Bundy, Jr., Georgetown, Gr., A (St. Louis, Mo.)
Scored four goals on just five shots in a 12-9 win over No. 18/19 Penn on Saturday. The graduate attacker also dished out a pair of assists to cap the afternoon with six points to lead the Hoyas to their first win of the season. Bundy passed former Hoya All-American Scott Urick (’00) for seventh all-time in career points with 184.
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Malcolm Kleban, Denver, Sr., G (New York, N.Y.)
Kleban set a career-high for the second straight week, leading the Pioneers to a 16-8 win over Utah to remain perfect on the season. The senior netminder registered 14 saves, the fifth time in his collegiate career he reached double-digit saves. Overall, he had a .636 save percentage.
BIG EAST Specialist of the Week
Alec Stathakis, Denver, Gr., FOS (Northville, Mich.)
Establishing the advantage from the jump for the Pioneers in Saturday’s 16-8 win over Utah, Stathakis went 18-for-26 (0.692) on faceoffs. Overall, the junior collected 10 ground balls, and held the face off advantage in all four individual quarters, including a 7-3 edge in the opening frame.
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Anderson Moore, Georgetown, Fr., G (Birmingham, Ala.)
Collected 12 saves and added three ground balls in a 12-9 win at No. 18/19 Penn to give the Hoyas their first win of the year and the first win of his collegiate career between the pipes. Capped the day with a .571 save percentage.
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Michael Lampert, Denver, Sr., M
Came off the bench to record his first hat-trick of the season and third of his career, shooting a perfect 3-for-3 and notching five points (3G, 2A).
James Ball, Georgetown, Gr., FOS
Ball won 17-of-23 (.739) on faceoffs and garnered nine ground balls, in a 12-9 win over Penn. He opened the game-winning each of the first nine face offs.
Jake Stegman, Marquette, Gr., A
Posted a team-high 12 points in a 1-1 week, setting the MU single game record with six assists in a mid-week win over Detroit Mercy.
Brian Kelly, St. John’s, Jr., A
In a pair of games, he led the way with eight goals and two assists, including a five-goal performance against Hofstra. Collected his third straight-hat trick of the season against Delaware.
Matt Licata, Villanova, Sr., A
Tallied four goals and collected a pair of ground balls in a 13-11 loss against No. 9 Yale. Scored three goals in the third quarter to tie the game at 10-10, part of a five-goal run after falling behind 10-5.
