BIG EAST Women’s Singles Player of the Week
Noemi Babikova, So., St. John’s (Boldog, Slovakia)
Babikova helped the St. John’s to a 2-0 mark against BIG EAST opponents this week with a pair of victories at No. 2 singles. At DePaul, the sophomore earned a come-from-behind three-set win over Blue Demon Sasha Stula (6-7, 7-5, 6-4), clinching the match for the Red Storm (W, 4-3). In Sunday’s 6-1 team victory over Marquette, Babikova swept Golden Eagle Andie Weise (6-2, 6-2).

BIG EAST Women’s Doubles Team of the Week
Chase Metcalf (Jr., Burr Ridge, Illinois) & Brooke Arington (Fr., Cincinatti, Ohio), Butler
Metcalf and Arington went 2-0 at No. 1 doubles this week, notably helping Butler to a 4-3 BIG EAST victory over Georgetown. The duo opened the weekend by defeating Louisville’s Alive Otis and Allie Gretowski, 6-3, on Friday before overcoming Hoyas Ashley Kennedy and Emily Novikov, 6-1, on Sunday.

BIG EAST Men’s Singles Player of the Week
Nicolas Arts, Jr., Butler (Frisco, Texas)
Arts went 2-0 this weekend, sweeping opponents from Saint Louis and Xavier on the third court, as Butler secured a pair of team victories. The junior defeated Billiken Valentin Vasquez 6-1, 6-2 on Friday, contributing to a 4-0 Bulldog win. On Saturday, Arts overcame Musketeer Charlie Temming 6-0, 6-4 as Butler took the BIG EAST match from Xavier, 5-2.

BIG EAST Men’s Doubles Team of the Week
Max Amling (Jr., Neustadt, Germany) & Armando Sotelo (So., Queretaro, Mexico), St. John’s
Amling and Sotelo captured victories at No. 1 doubles as St. John’s claimed road wins over Monmouth (4-3) and No. 43 Yale (5-2) this weekend. The duo defeated Monmouth’s Mateo Bivol and Louis Keller, 6-4, before dispatching Yale’s Jim Ji and Jason Shuler, 6-1, as the Red Storm registered a victory over the nationally ranked Bulldogs.
