BIG EAST Women’s Singles Player of the Week
Olivia Wright, Sr., UConn (Glen Allen, Virginia)
Wright registered a pair of straight-set victories over conference competitors at No. 1 singles, helping the Huskies to two team wins this weekend. The senior surpassed Providence’s Flora Eidson, 6-4, 6-1, and Butler’s Chase Metcalf, 6-3, 6-2. The Huskies defeated the Friars, 7-0, and the Bulldogs, 6-1. Sunday’s victory over Butler marked Head Coach Glenn Marshall’s 500th career victory – all at the Huskies’ helm.
BIG EAST Women’s Doubles Team of the Week
Abby Nugent (Jr., Springboro, Ohio) & Clara Owen (Fr., Dayton, Ohio)
The ITA No. 37 duo went 2-0 at No. 1 doubles in a 2-0 week for the Musketeers. The pair defeated Dayton’s Natalie Osiecki and Neena Katauskas, 6-1, as Xavier swept the Flyers, 7-0. Nugent and Owen then overcame DePaul’s ITA No. 54 duo, Eva Goncharov and Hannah Smith, 6-2 to clinch the doubles point in the Musketeers 6-1 win.
BIG EAST Men’s Singles Player of the Week
Rocky McKenzie, Fr., Creighton (Sioux Falls, South Dakota)
McKenzie registered three victories this week, highlighted by a straight set victory over Marquette’s Remi St. Laurent at No. 4 singles (6-1, 6-3) as the Bluejays defeated the Golden Eagles, 7-0. In a pair of meetings with North Dakota, the rookie defeated Ethan Terry at No. 5 singles, 6-1, 6-2, and Andrew Hayduke II at No. 2 singles, 7-6 (7-4), 6-2.

Nicolas Arts (Jr., Frisco, Texas) & Rahulniket Konakanchi (Jr., Plano, Texas), Butler
Arts and Konakanchi defeated Matthieu Derache and David Simeonov of the University of Indianapolis, 6-4, on the top doubles court to help the Bulldogs take the doubles point from the Greyhounds.
