Georgetown's Jake Fellows Named the ITA Atlantic Region Senior Player of the Year

WASHINGTON - Georgetown University senior captain Jake Fellows was named the ITA Atlantic Region Senior Player of the Year, as announced by ITA Tennis on Tuesday. This award comes off a big year, which included a selection to the All-BIG EAST First Team in 2025.

"I am extremely proud of Jake for receiving this prestigious award. It is a fitting way to end a great career here at Georgetown. Jake developed into a fantastic player and even better person. Looking forward to watching him pursue his tennis dreams on the professional tour this summer." - Head Coach Freddy Mesme

  • Senior captain Jake Fellows was named the ITA Atlantic Region Senior Player of the Year following a standout 2024-25 campaign, compiling a 33-17 overall record between singles and doubles and earning a spot on the All-BIG EAST First Team.
  • Fellows went 17-8 in singles play, including a 9-5 mark in the spring and an 8-3 record in the fall. All nine of his spring victories came at the No. 1 singles position, where he appeared in 14 of the team's 18 matches.
  • In doubles, Fellows finished with a 16-9 overall record, going 12-8 in the spring and 4-1 in the fall. All 16 wins came at No. 1 doubles, as he competed in 20 of the team's 22 top-line pairings.
  • One of the season's standout moments came during the BIG EAST Championship Quarterfinals against No. 5 seed DePaul. Fellows earned a No. 1 singles win over fellow First Team honoree Matteo Iaquinto (6-2, 7-6) and teamed with O'Sullivan for a 6-2 doubles victory over Tobias Leitner and Jona Gitschell.
  • This marks the first regional award ever earned by a Georgetown tennis player. The London native is now eligible for ITA national honors.
