Stula registered a dominant 6-1, 6-0 defeat of Cornell’s Victoria Zhao at No. 2 singles. The victory was essential to DePaul’s 4-3 win, which snapped the Big Red’s five-match win streak.

Sandra Dzhambazov (Gr., Krefeld, Germany) & Nicoline Sartz-Lunde (So., Oslo, Norway), SJU
Dzhambazov and Sartz-Lunde went 2-0 on the second court this week, clinching both doubles points in a pair of St. John’s sweeps. The duo defeated Stony Brook’s Kristi Boro and Sara Annamaria Medve, 6-3, before dropping Bethune Cookman’s Zahara El-Zein and Lesa Snipes-Williams, 6-4.

Matteo Iaquinto, Sr., DePaul (Palermo, Italy)
Iaquinto earned two straight-set victories at No. 1 singles this week, defeating Buffalo’s Theodoros Mitsakos [7-6(5), 6-0] and Cleveland State’s Lincoln Battle, 6-4, 6-1.

BIG EAST Men’s Doubles Team of the Week
Alex Kotarski (Fr., Hinsdale, Ill.) & Andrew Spurck (Fr., Palatine, Ill.), Xavier
Kotarski and Spurck went 2-0 at No. 2 doubles, helping the Musketeers take the doubles point in a pair of wins for Xavier’s fifth consecutive victory. The teammates bested Bellarmine’s Louie Fletcher and Vineet Ramesh, 6-3, as well as Omaha’s Christian Trevey and Pava Uppu, 6-3.
