Creighton's Julia Karmazin Named BIG EAST Women's Golfer of the Week

NEW YORK – Julia Karmazin of Creighton earned the first BIG EAST Female Golfer of the Week honor of the 2026 spring season.  

Karmazin led Creighton with an 11th place finish at the Texas State Invitational, finishing with a 4-over total score of 220.  As a team, the Bluejays finished seventh overall in the team's spring opener (304-299-304=907).

Karmazin finished in 11th place at the Texas State Invitational in New Braunfels, Texas.  She finished the three round, 54-hole tournament with a total score of 220 (+4).  The sophomore from Omaha opened the tournament with a 73, followed by a second score of 74.  Karmazin closed tournament play with a 73.  Dating back to the fall, this marks her third top 15 finish in her last four starts.

Women’s Notes – Butler was the lone other BIG EAST women's golf team to compete this past week...The Bulldogs placed 15th overall with a team score of 931 at the 2026 Advance Golf Partners Collegiate in Palm Beach...Treva Dodd led the Bulldogs, tying for 23rd place...She finished with a three-round total of 226 (81-72-73).
