OKATIE, S.C. –
Sunday's second round of the 2026 BIG EAST Women's Golf Championship saw a little bit of everything at the Callawassie Island Club - from bouts of wind and rain, a swath of red numbers, and an ace on the 6th hole.

Xavier improved on its team score and overall lead in the standings through 36 holes of play.  The Musketeers registered a second round score of 285 - 3-under par as a team - extending their lead to four strokes heading into Monday's final round with a total tally of 586 (301-285).

Both Georgetown (590) and St. John's (591) played under par as a team on Sunday, with each team registering a 1-under par 287 on the day. The 287 marked a single-round record for the Red Storm.  Butler (308-296=604) sits in fourth place, followed by Seton Hall (317-298=615) in fifth, Creighton (318-303=621) in sixth, and Providence (342-328=670) in seventh.

There is a three-way tie atop the individual standings, as Madison Reemsnyder of Xavier, Marta Aguilar of Seton Hall, and Kelly Wu of St. John's are all at 2-under par, with a two-round total of 142.  Georgetown's Georgia Ruffalo sits one shot back of the trio, with a 1-under par total of 143.

Reemsnyder entered the day with a one-shot lead after an even-par 72 on Saturday.  The senior used a flawless front nine - featuring two birdies and an eagle on the par 4 3rd hole - to go as low as 5-under through 10.  She posted two more birdies on the back nine and battled through a pocket of rain to finish at 70 on the day.

Aguilar shined on day two, entering the clubhouse with a 3-under 69.  The sophomore posted six birdies on the day - four on the front nine and another two on the back - for one of two rounds under 70 on the day.  She opened tournament play with a first round 73 and leads the field in total birdies, with 10.

Wu's second round 68 is the low score of the tournament so far.  The senior from Auckland, New Zealand posted five birdies and 12 pars on the day - the lone blemish a bogey on the par 4 5th.  She was 4-under over her final 12 holes, including a birdie on the par 4 18th.  She shot a first-day 74 and enters Monday's final round in the hunt for medalist honors.

Ruffalo posted the shot of the day - an ace on the par 3 6th hole.  It marks the second hole-in-one of her career - both have come during BIG EAST Championship play at the Callawassie Island Club.  The 2024-25 BIG EAST Golfer of the Year finished with a 2-under 70 on Sunday, posting three birdies and 10 pars to go with her ace.

Monday's final round will be a double tee start, beginning at 8 a.m. ET off the 1st tee and 8:20 a.m. off the 10th.  GKLive.TV will provide online coverage of the Tournament. There are no subscription fees to watch the event.
