Cat Petteys, So., SS, UConn
Petteys hit .571, scoring three runs and contributing 5 RBI, as UConn swept Villanova. The 2025 BIG EAST Freshman of the Year posted a 1.571 slugging percentage, delivering a double and a pair of home runs throughout the week. Petteys logged at least one hit in every game of the series, going 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBI in Friday’s 5-3 victory. At shortstop, she owned a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with three putouts and eight assists.
BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week
Marina Egbert, Gr., P, Georgetown
Egbert boasted a 0.00 ERA in two appearances, owning a 1-0 record with a save over 8.0 innings of work. The graduate student threw a complete game in Friday’s 8-0 (6) victory over Seton Hall, striking out one while allowing just three hits.

Devyn Johnson, Fr., C, Georgetown
Johnson led the Hoyas to their first in-conference three-game series sweep since 2014, tallying a team-high five RBI with two home runs and a pair of runs scored against Seton Hall. The rookie excelled in the second game of the series, launching a three-run home run in the fifth inning.

Avery Barnard, Jr., OF, Creighton
Barnard hit .500 with a double, an RBI, and two runs scored as Creighton took the week’s series from Butler, 2-1. The junior posted multi-hit performances in all three conference matchups and logged a career-high seven putouts in Friday’s series-opening win [W, 8-5 (8)].
Audrey Gilman, Fr., P, Creighton
Gilman led the Bluejays to a series victory over Butler, posting a 2-1 record with a 4.05 ERA over 19.0 innings of work. The freshman excelled in the series finale (W, 7-0), picking up her first career shutout in the three-hit victory.
Jess Bianco, Sr., OF, St. John’s
Bianco batted .667 with three runs scored and five RBI as St. John’s took a 2-1 series from DePaul on the road.
Nikki Gallardo, Fr., UT, Providence
Gallardo hit .833 (5-for-6) across a pair of non-conference matchups, recording two doubles, two runs scored, and four RBI in outings against Boston College (L, 7-10) and Dayton (W, 8-4).
Tori Grifone, Gr., P, Providence
Grifone earned the win against Dayton, tossing 5.0 shutout innings with zero hits allowed and eight strikeouts while holding opponents to a .000 batting average.
